Uniform Code

Rationale for Uniforms

Thomasville Christian School believes that a school uniform best serves the overall purposes and goals of the school. Parents may purchase whichever items they would like from the following list. Uniform clothing may be bought from French Toast catalog, Land’s End online, or at JCPenney, Belk, Old Navy, Target etc. as long as it follows the code listed.

Modest Dress

Students should dress modestly. Uniform skirts, jumpers, skorts, and shorts should be no shorter than 2-3" above the knee. This also includes jeans worn on jeans days. Students wearing clothing shorter than that will be sent to the school office to find something from the consignment shop that will comply with the dress code. If nothing is available, parents will be called to bring another outfit.

Thomasville Christian School believes that a school uniform for elementary students best serves the overall purposes and goals of the school. Parents may choose to buy whichever items they would like from the following list:

For Girls:

…White, hunter or kelly green, light gray, light blue or navy polo shirt (long or short sleeved)

…Hunter/classic navy plaid jumper (Lands’ End website)

…White or baby blue Peter Pan collar blouse (long or short sleeved, Lands’ End or French Toast)

…White or baby blue button down collar blouse (long or short sleeved)

…Three-tab pleated khaki skort (French Toast website)

…Kick pleat khaki skirt (French Toast website)

…Khaki, Navy or Gray shorts.

…Khaki, Navy or Gray slacks.

…Socks: anklets, any color

…Shoes: Any style of shoes with closed toes.

…Leggings may only be worn under skirts or jumpers. Leggings are not appropriate to be worn as pants.

Optional:

  • Girls may add any navy, white, or green vest, cardigan, V-neck, crew sweater or turtleneck top
  • School logo T-shirts and sweatshirts will be available for purchase from the school office. These tops, or one of the uniform tops, may be worn with jeans on "Jeans Days" which will be announced.

For Boys:

…White, gray, kelly green, hunter green, light blue or navy polo shirt (long or short sleeved)

…White or baby blue button down collar shirt (long or short sleeved)

…Khaki, Navy or Gray shorts

…Khaki, Navy or Gray slacks

…Socks: any color

…Shoes: Any style of shoes with closed toes.

…. School t-shirts may be worn with jeans on Fridays, or other designated jeans days.

Optional:

  • Boys may add any navy, white, or green vest, cardigan, V-neck, crew sweater or turtleneck top
  • School logo T-shirts and sweatshirts will be available for purchase from the school office. These tops, or one of the uniform tops, may be worn with jeans on "Jeans Days" which will be announced.

Ordering Uniforms

All white and navy polo shirts, white and baby blue blouses and shirts, and khaki shorts and khaki slacks may be purchased from wherever you choose. Land’s End, French Toast, Target, Walmart, Children’s Place, etc. all carry uniform clothing.
