We are thrilled and blessed to have Mr. Lance Kindred on our faculty again this year! Mr. Kindred serves as our Chapel Director, Spiritual Leader and 2nd-8th grade Bible Teacher. He also serves as a team teacher in several classrooms as his schedule allows.
“I am Lance Kindred. I am a native of Thomas County. Faith and church have always been a fundamental part of my life. I was raised in the Metcalfe United Methodist Church and accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior during Revival Services at the age of 10. I graduated from Central High School…a long time ago. I then went on to earn an Associate of Arts degree in Music at Thomas College. After transferring to Valdosta State University, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education degree. It was during my time at VSU that I experienced a deepening relationship with Christ and discerned a call to ministry. Roughly five years after graduating from VSU, I earned a Master of Divinity degree from Erskine Theological Seminary and began my work in vocational ministry as a clergy member of the South Georgia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Over the last 24 years, I have served churches in Decatur, Lowndes, Taylor, and Thomas Counties. I am presently serving the churches of the Metcalfe Charge (Bethpage, Ebenezer, and Metcalfe). I will be married to my wife, Jodi, 20 years this coming September. We have been blessed with two daughters (Kirby, Chloe) and one son (Parker). I am enthused about this opportunity and looking forward to working with the faculty and students at Thomasville Christian School again this coming school year.”
